I don't really care, just like Zander, about individual awards or stat sheets. So I don't give a single bean soup fart about who gets "Mr. Basketball" but for the sake of discussion I did a quick search and a bunch of outlets have the two of them running first and second for the award. Good grief, in the name of all things common sense it wouldn't be a stretch to believe Zander could get the award. Again, I don't care. 

Concerning the UK part of the comment, I'm not sure either of them will (or would) have an immediate impact playing for UK in the SEC. I definitely don't think it would be a stretch to believe that if the two played on the same team that Zander could have the greater immediate impact. His size and body relative to his position along with his basketball IQ and leadership skills would indicate it's possible.  I'm not saying it would be true, I'm just saying you wouldn't have to be under the influence of narcotics to believe it. Again, good grief, it's possible.

Let me think for a minute about the differences between UK and Liberty.

I'm still confused but that's normal. My point wasn't to say either one of those young men is better or more deserving than the other. It was to say anyone could formulate differing opinions based on what they see and how they interpret it, and choosing either could be justified. I can tell you right now if you talk to Zander you're more likely to get invited to the weekend foot washing service at church rather than talking about an individual award. He chose Liberty because that's where he felt led to go. There is nothing wrong with that. Arguably the best player in college basketball is Johni Broome, his best scholarship out of high school was Morehead State.

I completely agree with what you are saying. I do believe that Zander Carter will be a more impactful player in college than Malachi will be but that’s just my opinion. I’ve been lucky enough to watch both of these dudes play in person and they are both special talents for Kentucky High School Basketball. If I was to start a team with one of the two tho then I’d pick Zander Carter. He does everything on the court at a high level and is a 6’6 Guard who plays at his own pace and is never sped up and always gets to his spots. Reminds me of SGA a little. Malachi is a great big man. One of the better big man i’ve saw in the state in a while especially with his rim protection. I think they can both have good impacts on their respective programs but Zander will do better in college. Zander is talented enough to play at Kentucky and get meaningful minutes as a freshman and I don’t know
If Malachi can do well as a freshman. Both VERY good players though.
