If you are a fan of defensive basketball you would’ve hated this game tonight. Defensively this game was as ugly as Momma Bones and Coach Newsome ring girling at the Rough and Rowdy. How many open shots does a team have to hit on you before you start manning up and play some defense? This is why Paintsville will win the district because they have the cajones to play on both ends of the floor.

Offensively Martin County was impressive and had all five players contribute. Central showed promise in spurts but it’s a up hill battle when you’re playing 3 on 5 on the offensive end and playing the Red Sea defense on the other end.

Thankfully this game was carried by WYMT and for the most part they did a very good job with their coverage. I didn’t want to tackle that crowd tonight.
