Now, sports may not be feeding starving nations, or finding cures for this or that disease. But try to tell a player, a coach, a parent, a community that sports don’t mean anything. If not, why bother? We have to have things in this life to make it interesting, and sports for a lot of us is one of the biggest. So hell yeah, it does matter.

@Van Hagar well said!

Everyone is different, my life doesn't 100% revolve around sports, but my life wouldn't be where it's at today without sports as well, basketball being my favorite.

Me and my dad have went to the State Tournament every year since 1996, this will be our 29th straight year going, you think that doesn't mean something?

Sports is the greatest reality show that we have, you never know what is going to happen. I was the same way, when one of my favorite teams would lose, I'd sulk in it for days or even weeks, now a days if one of my teams lose, it'll bother me for a short time, but life goes on, and I know there will always be more games to watch and root for. I know this is completely off topic about everyone's thoughts on the status of Corbin basketball, I don't know anything about them as I haven't seen them play, but I read some of the comments about this.

So awesome you and your dad going to state tournament!

Getting over a loss quicker as we get older is maturity and not diminished love of sports. I think that happens to almost all of us.

Thank you for implying I am mature, rather than a sadist.   Smile
