What's Wrong With the Corbin Redhounds ???

Now, sports may not be feeding starving nations, or finding cures for this or that disease. But try to tell a player, a coach, a parent, a community that sports don’t mean anything. If not, why bother? We have to have things in this life to make it interesting, and sports for a lot of us is one of the biggest. So hell yeah, it does matter.

Sports is fun, oftentimes entertaining , makes for good conversation,  a fun way to pass the time, irritate friends and family,  but not what I would say is really important in my life. Now, when I was youngster, or even in my 20's or 30's I THOUGHT it was important. I cried when the Bengals lost the Superbowl, I cussed an imaginary being when Laettner hit the shot that caused a thousand wife beatings across the Bluegrass. The Reds were a huge part of my life as a kid. Now , with crippling mental and physical issues , parents sick and dying , animals to care for, and the country heading down a dark path to a fascist state, I don't see a UK  game or a Corbin game quite the same way I once did. Yes, I like to needle those who overemphasize the importance of sports with posts of faux outrage and satire, but I will stick to my guns and say that sports really is not that important to me. Too many other things that are way more important. I watch Jack Pilgrim after a UK loss and the guy looks like his mother just passed away. It's gross. It's a ballgame, Jack.

I have so much on my plate each day trying to be the best sadist I can be. LMAO  That's funny stuff right there. Sadists don't go out of their way to advocate for the homeless, abused women and children, and animals. I spend thousands of $$$$$ doing those very things on a daily basis. A ballgame is down on  the list of my priorities and that's both when my team is on a roll or in a rut.

Life has a way of changing one's priorities when hits you straight on with real heartache. Jack might view sports a little differently forty years from now.
