I just shake my head when people say sports aren’t important to them. This happens 98% of the time after the team they are supporting had lost. Now, sports may not be feeding starving nations, or finding cures for this or that disease. But try to tell a player, a coach, a parent, a community that sports don’t mean anything. If not, why bother? We have to have things in this life to make it interesting, and sports for a lot of us is one of the biggest. So hell yeah, it does matter.
