What's Wrong With the Corbin Redhounds ???

I know Corbin doesn’t have one player who shot over 10 attempts from three with a percentage above 37.5%. Farmer is statically the best shooter but limits his volume. The two guys with the most volume is the two guys in the starting lineup under 33%. In today’s game, even at a high school level, you need one guy with high volume and shoots over 40%. Ellis may become that guy but he was a 37% guy last year with a lot of shots. At this point you have to wonder about a groove though, he comes back and he may be a spark or need a few games to become back to form. There isn’t many games left to get into playoff basketball shape.

Another thing is usage and getting to the line. Ryder, Blackburn, middleton, and pietroski all shoot under 75% from the line. They are not Clay county level from the line, but it’s not a strength. So if I’m an opposing coach, I know i’m playing a team that can’t really stretch you out and be a deep threat, they can’t really beat you at the line, and in all reality that have one guy who can take you off the dribble. That is not winning basketball. I seen when they played little miami that a zone of any kind where Adkins is getting 90 percent of the attention kills them. Also getting picked up way out behind the line hurts them, they can’t beat their guys off the bounce. Carter Stewart and Zander Curry were HUGE LOSSES that have really yet to be replaced by a true point guard.

GREAT analysis.
