There are grants, help from boosters. merit based scholarships, and a lot of different ways. Private schools all have “funding” out there for the right kid. I’m not saying they straight up pay kids to play, but there are things that are set aside to help a bad situation a kid may be in financially. I’m all for it. I think any kid should be able to go wherever they want. That’s the trickle down from the college portal. Even if it is a private school. If a kid can get an opportunity to better themselves let them.

In what universe do you come out ahead dollar-wise attending a $30k/year and up private school over free public school? Time to stop making excuses every time a private school wins anything.

Sure pisses you off though when they can get done in 7 years what you’ve been trying to do for a hundred.

It’s just talking points fellas….bac isn’t suggesting any kind of success based on who returns what. That’s a lot of effort from bac just so we can have something to discuss during the off season. Good work bac.

Class A was a lot more fun this year in my opinion. I’m glad the super classes are gone and it’s nice to see only a handful of kids that look like they are 35 and have three kids on each team now. It should be more competitive moving forward. Both the Newport teams were a surprise last year. I wonder who will be the surprise team of 2025?

There we go again with the super class. Where was it? Who had one. And also…..moving forward……all the way down to pre school kids are holding back by the droves. That’s not ever going to go away from here on out unless rules are changed.

When you have hold backs and you couple that with the covid year then yes….there were a lot of older kids playing. Nobody broke any rules to do so. I don’t understand why you can’t admit. It doesn’t take anything away from any accomplishments. It’s not an insult to actual talk about the truth. The only reason I said it is because I love small school football. You can go watch these factory schools play and they look like small college teams. There nothing like small town football in the middle of nowhere and that’s usually played with young kids that grow up in front of your eyes while making mistakes. To not acknowledge the fact that the typical age for class a football was a lot older for at least three years is just crazy. It was in all classes
