If this is true, it sounds like this program is finally going to go in an exciting new direction which is a pleasant surprise knowing what the typical Floyd County political hire would normally be. Finally some hope for the kids in this area, an area that is starving for new excitement in the football program. The talent is there, the size is there, but nobody wants to come out and play for the same old thing, a losing team with absolutely no positive re-enforcement. The aura around the program was no brotherhood, every man for himself, no culture, and ultimately it was simply like beating a dead horse. This is a new age with new types of personalities, and the kids just don’t respond the same way that we once did, and anyone close to this program knows this. It’s time for someone to show these boys what a real football program can actually be.
