Every single American should be scared to death by this. But you know what?  I bet most Americans, including most all of the scholars on BGR, don't even know what happened late Friday night.

Even Methuselah, the GOP's 982 year-old senator, Chuck Grassley,  expressed concern over these firings of inspectors general. Trump is going to replace these  independent watchdogs with 17 of his loyalists. Not only is he not draining the swamp, the Mango Mussolini is filling up the swamp. Every single person who voted for this dictator wannabe should type out a formal apology in this thread.  Scary, scary stuff!!!  Congratulations, voters! Is this really what you were asking for?  Wait until they come for you and your family.

Since this was done in the cover of late night darkness on a weekend, open your eyes and read, BGR. My guess is that the indoctrination is too complete for it to matter to you.

The law requires a president to give Congress "substantive rationale, including detailed and case specific reasons" for the dismissals 30 days in advance.   America's wannabe autocrat gave none of that.
