Any portal news? Pretty quiet right now, especially with Raceland and Pikeville posters. Maybe we both got humbled a little bit this past season. I hated the outcome of the title game obviously, but there was new life breathed into 1A by Sayre this year. I think we will start seeing some more competitive football moving forward. The Covid kids have moved on and 1A teams look more like 1A teams. Not as many 19yo seniors lol. Next year is probably the first time in a long time that the champ doesn’t return a lot and has some big shoes to fill. I really think the top 5 teams all have a real shot at winning it next year. I look for Hazard to be much improved. They were a lot better in the playoff game vs Raceland even though it was a very lopsided score. They simplify the offense a little and they could surprise some people

Hazard needs to stay injury free. Not having Gavin Johnson hurt quite a bit in the 2nd matchup which put TOO MUCH pressure on Connor Holbrooke. It also hurt losing a starting offensive lineman a week before the playoffs either, or having one of ur seniors in club who was the 2nd leading receiver before getting hurt and having surgery after the Corbin game.

But 1A is gonna fun next year and I believe is gonna be up for grabs.
