Ah, the classic "5 years, not 4" controversy—7 yeas total HS because who doesn’t love a good debate about whether one extra year should suddenly make you the All-Time Leading Scorer? Sure, transferring schools and counting all your points like you're playing in some fantasy league sounds a bit wild, but hey, I guess we’re just rewriting the history books now. Why stop at points? Let’s also count all the Gatorade bottles he drank and the team selfies—those have to count for something, right?

But I get it. It’s a tough pill to swallow when a player comes in, starts racking up points like he’s in a video game, and then poof—suddenly, he’s the face of the program. It’s like showing up to a family reunion and claiming you’re the favorite child without even trying! "Make it make sense?" Oh, don’t worry—My self and Appy Puss will make the case for how this is totally legit… you know we are in the lab right now, cooking up some stats and finding a way to make it sound completely fair.  By the way I've witness daddies who sit on bench do these things.

At the end of the day, though, maybe it’s not just about the points. Maybe it’s about how many people are talking about it. And if that’s the case, congrats to the new "all-time leading scorer Z & looks like you've already won the popularity contest of being the biggest A-- on BGR.

Travis Perry who played 6 years and his numbers blow your guys out the water. You are talking the best and all time this and that but if you give any of the current roster players at APB 7years of varsity game. I think their numbers would be close and maybe more depending on the development. I would think it will be safe to say one record for sure he will get. MOST GAMES PLAYED BY ANY PLAYER IN THE STATE FOR HIS VARSITY CAREER.  He will be well in the 200's for his career of played games.  I think that would be a stat that will never be broken ever!  Congrats to Z for being the all-time leading scorer at APB.  Also, I do think to be fair for kids that took the covid year and played 5 years of high school sports.  Regardless of what sport. They should get to pick one or the other year to count as official stats. Not count both years. That is not right to kids who have played under the 4-year rule. Such as in this case Marty and Z.

If Carter reaches 3,000 career points, he will still have scored around 2700 points in a Tomcats uniform.  I looked on KHSAA and he only had like 300 when he came to Ashland. This would have still beat Ashland’s scoring record by like 800 points.  Another thing to note is that he played in a system with other Division 1, D-2 and NAIA talent that played the game the right way.  He wasn’t on the court jacking up 15+ 3 pointers every night like his daddy was sitting on the bench.  So let’s put everything in perspective.
