NL has played a top 10  schedule in the state and as far as that 8th grade team that won state it only had 2 kids that anybody would consider basketball players

LOL, they were sure GAMERS and PLAYERS when they won that 8th Grade State, we were there watching another team play and saw them finish it up.  They played
together as a team whether you consider them basketball players or not, they were a DARN good group that someone got working together well enough to not only
make a run at state but win it & 2 players didn't do it alone.  I am just saying that had the right coach gotten ahold of that group, they could have had something to
build on.  And as well as they played together they could have been competitive down the road.  I don't know who the coaches were who missed this opportunity, just
saying they did.

Unless they changed coaches the RIGHT coach had them as 8th graders and that would have been Tim Sizemore. He has more knowledge than anyone on the current HS bench and should be your Head coach there. When Valentine heads back to Lex soon maybe they will give Tim a shot. He would do great!

I had to ask who the coach of that NL 8th grade team was that won the state, it wasn't Sizemore, it was a young guy named Jervis, even more impressive!

Yeah Jervis is a great young man and a good young coach. Sizemore is not a even a mediocre coach. I believe he has the worst record of any coach at Leslie county.  He bowed out on his 8th grade middle school team at North. That team won 6th grade middle school state undefeated. Then went undefeated again in 7th  and lost their only game of the season in the middle school state championship game. Clay Middle School had several barn burners with them. So for us tiger fans. NL admin please give Sizemore that job.
