I saw him get 30 last year in a win against GRC at Mad Cent tournament. He is a capable scorer but he didn’t hardly shoot last night. Davis ripped mabe up and down for jacking threes. I think south is better than they played but corbin had better talent across the board like gridiron said. Blackburn gave them a huge boost in the first. Eli pietrowski battled and was a stud on the glass. Farmer really battled. He is another freshman. Ive not seen corbin bring that level of energy. Some nights they dont bring it. Bell always brings it. I wouldn’t count south out. They still have a great coach and a dominant big. Their offense is just so stagnant sometimes. Players seem stiff and unwilling to go make a play in fear of the wrath of jeff davis. I have never seen a coach yell, scream, and lecture a referee like he does. Wagging his finger in the face giving it to them without a T being called. Ive never seen grown ass men take so much abuse without a consequence.
Mabe is everything to South 100% agree. One of the biggest takeaways I seen was when Mabe was able to get position in the post(and it was a struggle to get position) they didn't get him the ball. Personally I think Davis was onto Mabe for not driving the ball and settling for the 3, but given the circumstances I don't blame him. As far as Davis goes with the officials......I'll hush lol. Good win for the hounds. Be interesting to see the London rematch.
