First off, your grammatical errors have nothing to do with what I am gonna post. As for Belfry being Phelps' big brother--- NOPE... they aren't brothers in any sense of the word BUT... They also are NOT the same type or calibar of team! Phelps is a single A school with probably 350 kids TOTAL from 7th to 12th. They are small! Don't get me wrong, Phelps didn't play up to their ability and the loss they suffered was a BIG one! They know it... BELIVE me... I have watched them practice this week... they KNOW IT!! BUT... Phelps doesn't deserve to be dogged because of their size nor does Belfry because of their ability. Belfry is all about football! We all know that!! Coach Haywood is a class act and has the respect because he has earned it. Wanna know where part of Phelps' football team was on Friday? At Ashland cheering Belfry on. AFTER practice! Shelby Valley might be a small "in numbers" team but I just checked on here and according to the WV athletic association Matewan only has 25 kids listed on roster as well. Evidently SV played a great game against them but.... they came out on the short end of the stick. I hate it for the kids.... BUT... proving a point against Phelps last week did nothing... nothing at all but give the kids at Phelps more "want too".... I hate that everyone thinks that Phelps is a nothing area with no talent and kids who could care less... We have some great kids over here who play and some who don't. YOu can't force them to play. I wish SV the best of luck on the remainder of the season. I hope they find what their looking for in their coach and on the field!!
