No offense but I'm pretty sure that he played for UK from 1947-1950 under legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. At least that's what they have him as in the UK record books. See link below.

And according to the link above that I posted, the article said he attended high school in Henderson at Barrett Manuel Training High School. He scored both of UK's touchdowns in the 1950 Cotton Bowl victory over Oklahoma, 13-6. The Sooners came into the game riding a 32 game-winning streak, dating back to 1948.
