I was there on Jan. 6 — we cannot allow Trump to rewrite history
#32
For those who don't care about fact checking misinformation posted on this site, there were several deaths that resulted from 1/6/21. There was a bipartisan Congressional committee that investigated the insurrection. It was about 100 or so page report best I remember, and outlined all the events leading up to, and then what went down on that terrible day. Ashli Babbitt was shot by Capitol police. One guy collapsed and died on the sidewalk. A cop died the following day after suffering several strokes from being pummeled by rioters on 1/6. One person, who initially was thought to have been trampled by a stampede of MAGAts, apparently died from an overdose of medication. Four cops committed suicide in the days and weeks following Trump's insurrection. None of these deaths would have occurred had Trump not called for his deplorables to descend on the Capitol with violent intent.

It was a bad day that cost several people their lives. If you vow to never forget 9/11, you should also never forget 1/6 .
