Kentucky @ Georgia Discussion (1/7)
#36
Well, this game was a complete dud, had a feeling it would be tough in such a small, loud environment like Clemson, but damn sure didn't expect that. I normally don't blame refs, there are certain things a team does that can decide the outcome of a game, namely the lack of rebounding last night, but the refs sure got their money's worth and made it all about them. Free throw discrepancy was outrageous, think UGA ended up with 38 attempts? Not sure what Kentucky had but it had to have been less than 15.

As great as it's been to see adjustments being made, halftime & in game, one thing you can't adjust to is physicality & toughness, you either have it or you don't, and Kentucky just doesn't have it. Georgia is good, but not entirely great, but they just played a more physical style that wore Kentucky down quickly, and when you wear a finesse team down, you have them right where you want them. Despite the poor officiating, it wasn't the ref's fault that Kentucky gave up so many 2nd chance possessions, wasn't the refs fault that they couldn't buy a basket, they were just taken out of their rhythm early on, and when they can't control the tempo of the game, it might as well be over.

Life in the SEC folks, beat Florida in a track meet Saturday, lose to Georgia in a slow down bore fest, then Florida turns around and beats #1 by 30. Hopefully UK can turn things around and figure it out, doesn't get easier against a really good Mississippi St team.
