Therefore, they are without them. End of story, regardless of your opinion. And, Davis still hasn’t played.(12-29-2024, 06:46 PM)Tomcat91 Wrote:I agree. APB is playing with a full deck! Cause you’re crazy to make excuses like you just did. Yes, Davis and Jennings were out. With that being said obtained Morgan county kid. Boyd county kid, Ironton kid, and trying to get the Russell kid eligible. So they were not without anyone. Keep making your excuses.(12-28-2024, 07:16 AM)HOOPFAN Wrote:Let’s not pretend that Ashland is playing with a full deck. They started the season without Davis, Jennings & Neel. At least one of them is a starter & the other two will/would play big minutes. And, only Jennings has played, so far. But, he missed several games. They’ve played pretty well considering their strength of schedule & playing without their starting PG.(12-28-2024, 02:53 AM)16BBall Fan Wrote:(12-28-2024, 12:43 AM)Fanman Wrote: You are correct, but Boyd is supposed to be #23 in the state
That is a big difference and trust me I have seen both there is a big difference in the 16th region and the 11th region.
Boyd has had 3-4 kids out since season started. Has never had their starting 5 in any game this season. Two are starters and another who plays significant minutes. Not another team I know in the state dealing with that kind of adversity. Only makes them stronger come later in the season when they get a few of the starters back.

No team has as many kids hurt right now than Boyd has since the season has started. Let’s put in perspective and not be such a hater. But I guess that just wouldn’t be you if you didn’t hate on BC.
In addition to playing the hardest schedule in the 16th. Your beloved APB hasn’t had to deal with that kind of adversity.
Neel is ineligible & awaiting clearance, as most ppl here know. But, he has practiced with the team since day 1 of conditioning from what I understand. And, he is a big part of their plan. So, even if he is ruled ineligible for the entire season, he’s still an INTEGRAL piece that they are forced to play without.
And, they will/would be a completely different team at full strength, with all 3 guys added to the rotation. If they do get everyone back & if the coach can stay out of his own way, Ashland can play with anyone in the state & compete for a championship.
The difference is that Ashland doesn’t need to make excuses. They have legit depth & can weather the storm & still compete with the top teams in the state, despite being short-handed. But, I’ll gladly recognize Boyd’s win over Lyon Co & give full credit. That was a nice win for them & the 16th region.
And, so what if they take transfers?! Who doesn’t? Who starts at center for Boyd Co & where did he play last year? They’ve had tons of transfers over the years. Highly impactful transfers, too. Do you have a problem with that? I’m sure that’s different, though.
The vast majority of schools in the state, take transfers. And, they recruit, which is the point you’re trying to make, I know. Once the KHSAA cracks down on basketball factories & bigger city schools I’ll care whether or not podunk high does it. Everyone knows it happens.
Especially, the KHSSA. But, their silence is complicit. It kinda forces more schools to do the same to try & keep up if they want to compete. It’s not being punished, so, why wouldn’t they? 20 years from now nobody will care. They’ll remember who won state & the recruiting cries will fade away into oblivion. Either play ball or get left behind until the KHSSA grows a pair. FTR, I don’t like it any more than you. But, there are far bigger fish to fry than freaking Ashland. You seem to have an obsession.
