To be clear, anyone who thinks Republicans didn't want cancer research for children and Dems saved the day and got it passed over Republican objections is a huge liar and/or dumber than a bag of hammers.

Republicans want big tax breaks for Donald and Elon. That's top priority. Children's cancer is a much lower priority for Republicans. They pretend to love children, up until the time the child is born.     Also, Jet doesn't understand how the Senate works. Schumer knows that the far easier path to get that bill passed is not as a stand alone bill, where it would likely face a precarious route to passage. The way it is always done is the way it was done this time. Attach it to a spending bill at the end of the year. Schumer knows a lot more than Jetpilot how to get children's cancer bills passed.
