Also... Frederick Douglas didn't seem like the force of Lexington this season based on scores... can Hawkins find away to lure some of the city talent to HC?

Not sure exactly what made you think that they lost 5 games yes but to to 6A champ Trinity 2 of the other top 3 or 4 teams in 6A Manuel and Male and 4A powers Boyle.

As far as Lexington is concerned only Station (District game) and Tate’s Creek will play them.
This year they played 3 Lexington schools and running clocked two of them and beat Bryan station by 18. They ruining clocked Tates Creek 50-14 Dunbar 42-0 and Bryan Station 24-6. Plus now in 8 seasons they have yet to lose to any school public or private in Fayette County.

You couldn’t combine PLD, TC, HC and beat FD… so beating them or them not playing FD isn’t something to brag about.
FD probably loses 2 more games this season if they don’t get the recruit from Taylor County and the late addition from Ohio.

I love how everyone thinks that Douglass is the only team in the state that kids come to play for. It is hilarious that everyone says that. In case you are not sure the Bryan Station coach called the as you call him the recruit from Taylor Co. every night for two weeks and several days after he had already enrolled at Douglass. The kid from Ohio parents sold their house earlier than they thought and ask Coach Stoops where there son should play.

;)FCSPYThere is your Douglas history lesson for the day!!! HAHAHA...

You can call it a history lesson or whatever you want but it is 100% truth. If it was a true history lesson, I would have given the current numbers after now 8 complete season of the Frederick Douglass Football Program which is 34-0 vs. the other 5 Fayette Co. Public Schools and 36-0 vs. all-schools in Fayette Co.  ;)
