To put into context: the team has attempted 137 combined shots this season while Keathley has attempted 114 himself. The team as a whole has shot 23 more times than Keathley has himself. To dive even deeper: Keathley averages 22.8 shot attempts per game while the team combined outside of Keathley averages 27.4. Now, this would be all fine and dandy if percentages were lopsided. However, of the starting 5, only one player shoots a worse percentage than Keathley. Stats don’t lie. The other 4 starters are averaging 31.1 points per game while Keathley is averaging 26.8. I think you can argue that the ball needs distributed around much more than it currently is. Again, these are all stats. Not made up scenarios. Just speaking statistical facts.

Now, on the flip side: half the team doesn’t even cross half court in an offensive set. Keathley and Slone are the only two that go 100%. You can tell no one wants to be there. But if they all bought in and played hard 100% of the time, stats may not be so lopsided.

Regardless, this season is a disaster.

Wow. Think those stats really sums it all up in a nutshell, and only 5 games in. Disaster seems to be a fitting word for it and will only get worse moving forward.
