I’m a diehard Ram fan and I’ll pull for them until the day I die. I’m also a realistic Ram fan and I realize that the Rams will most likely never win the big one as long as Salmons is at the helm. His “play calling” is way too predictable and way too conservative. The big fella likes to micromanage the game instead of letting the players execute the game plan. I really hate it for the kids because these last two teams had the talent to win both games.

Like you I am a diehard Ram fan and always will be.  Coach Salmons does a lot of good for his players and for the community.  From that perspective he is doing an excellent job and the community and is a good leader.

As for the actual football part I think he is a product of the system that he came up in. The majority of the staff at Raceland grew up in the same Raceland program that has historically not been able to win a title.  

I don’t think the solution is a new head coach.  Coach Salmons does a really good job.  The key for Raceland to get to the next level is to stop bringing in alumni that have no experience with winning at a high level as support staff and to find people that have been involved with championship programs that really know what it takes to win a title.
