Only time you kick it short is either A an onside kick or B the best your kicker can do is about the opponent 25/30 yard line. Then you kick it short to the sideline and get it out of bounds. But most quality HS teams now have a kicker that can atleast put the ball at or inside the 10. Speaking of which, how is Sayres special teams?
