Here’s why I defer. Say you get a three and out or even if they pick up a first down…you get them to punt and you have a short field. If you pick up a first down or two yourself and have to punt it keeps them deep in their territory and keeps us in good filed position. Look at Fridays game. We kicked off and they fumbled the first snap of the game. Three and out and we had the ball at midfield. Took it down and scored. Defer

Do you kick deep? Short or pooch kick? Or just kick it out of bounds and make them start at the 35?

I always kick it deep until they make me change my mind. I hate giving a team a short field
