I expect this game to be a shoot out both ways and have a combined total of over 70 points scored. Look for Coffman and Marushi both to have big days. In the end, I believe the rams will prevail and claim their first state championship. From being around the area, I know the city of Raceland will have every light on until 3 in the morning. No one will live this moment down.

But it's not hard for Sayre when you know one guy is 70% of the offense. I mean literally. Just key on one guy and sell out and do everything to stop him.
Raceland though has LEGIT 6 guys that can run the ball very well. Are any of them as good as a TRUE RB as Anthony? No. But they are so diverse it is a matchup nightmare trying to gameplan for all of them and know whats coming.
Yes, Sayre knows Raceland will run it. But to WHO?
Stiltner averaged 5.1 YPC against Ashland and 4.6 against Pikeville.
Arnett averaged 5.5 against LCA, and 8.1 against Paris.
Cooper averaged 10.6 against Hazard and 11.1 against Eminence.
Marushi averaged 5.9 against KCD and 4.6 against Paris.
All of these backs/receivers have a minimum of 300 yards rushing on the season and have combined for 29 TDs!
Just some examples of how it is going to be very complex for Sayre to just come out and say "We are gonna stop the run". Pikeville has literally 1 RB (a great one!) that they use. Raceland has tons of weapons, and the above example didn't even take into account Bloss or Ison who also have 6 combined rushing TDS as well.
This is very true. Anthony is better than each and every one of those players mentioned, he’s (great).Pikeville leaned on Anthony time and time again when Raceland has several (good) RB/WR type of guys. It’s like picking between a quarter and 5 nickels.
I agree. This will be an offensive battle and the one who is victorious will be the one who has a better defensive game plan because between the sayre short routes and the rams with their multiply offensive threats this will be a battle.
Totally agree with this. I am more excited to watch this game than many of the other state championship games that follow.
