Covington Catholic 31 Boyle County 28
#66
Boyle lost maybe their best linebacker Jax Crowe to a season ending injury in the first round of the playoff's and when Brown got hurt early in the game that hurt us in multiple ways on both sides of the ball at multiple positions, not making excuses but we were really handicapped on the edges.

I started in the 3rd qtr when they came over the loud speaker and announced the score…with that said, did they just run Q from the QB the whole  game after brown went down?  I know if it’s working stay with it. But, I thought boyle had weapons all over the field is why I’m asking.

Also, where they battling any injuries the past few weeks. It just seems like a tank that ran out of gas. A subpar performance against LCC (they were better than most give them, and yes I know the final score), and then tonight. Just trying to make sense of it all. Regardless, this class has won more rings than 99.5% ever will. That’s a feat.

I'm with you, this just doesn't make any sense to me, at all. I had this as a running clock by halftime or early third quarter. CC had less than 140 yds last week against the worst defense in the history of organized football, at any level. How does CC amass 400 yards against Boyle, whose defense looked stellar against a nationally ranked Ohio team ? Something is amiss here.
