First, to Boyle, congratulations you had a great season and have nothing to hang your head about. Congrats to all the players, you made memories that you will never forget. Going up to Cleveland and getting that win is truly special. It really sucks that the RPI punishes a team for taking that leap.
Boyle runs a great program that is building a great tradition. That tradition will continue to reap rewards for years to come.

Winning a state title takes all aspects coming together, it takes a great coach, great assistants, great players, a strong belief in your abilities, and a great gameplan to beat another good team. On any given night if just one of those pieces falters, another good team will find that weak link.

Bull, you made some good points on the "odds" as they appear, but Friday was proof that doesn't always play out.
If it seems some fans are a little happy they lost, take that with a grain of salt as everyone in the rest of the state has heard repeatedly all year that they don't belong on the same field as Boyle and would be a 40 point underdog. There were people from other teams bragging about how they were going to get whipped by Boyle? I could never for the life of me figure that one?
When I was at Tilghman in the late 80's if Coach Allan Cox had told us we were playing the Chiefs on Friday night we would have said "Bring it on"

I hope PT takes the crown, I believe we had just as good a shot against Boyle as anyone, but we won't see that this year.
But as I have repeatedly said, the road to the title is one step at a time. Tilghman has to focus on Corbin this week, and Franklin has to focus on Covington Catholic. There are no patsies left, all four teams left in 4A have proven they are title contenders.  Anyone that believes otherwise is likely to find their season over.
.
It sucks that Boyles' season came down to one play, but often that is the determining factor when you get close to the finals as everyone is capable.
Again congrats to Boyle and a fine season, they have a great program and I am sure they will remain in the hunt.
It did not come down to one play. Even if they had scored, they would have had to stop CCH. They couldn't stop CCH after the turnover with 2 minutes to go in the game and a chance to get the ball back. CCH broke off another long run and QB slid down at about the 14 yd line when he could have walked into the endzone for another TD. Then CCH kneeled down inside the 5 yard line to kill the clock.
