What a game. A lot of folks in the stands at the Highlands game was watching it. Maybe Boyle was rooting their own horn a little too much.

They had every right to toot their horn. They were the best team in KY and a top 15 team in the country. Anything can happen on a given night in sports but this was an outlier. Boyle would still beat anyone in the state in a best of five series.

Woulds,Coulda,Shoulda are all excuses. Cov Catholic went to Boyle and won. Boyle County was obviously not the 15th best team in the country.

More IggyPoop. Boyle was deserving of all the accolades. They just had a down night. If the two teams played again, I would favor Boyle by 4+ TDs.

Boyle seems to be better in your mind than they actually were. They had a terrible run defense that multiple teams were able to exploit and they had one player who saved them when things tough. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to like he had in previous games last night.

 Can you show me this exploitation? I only see one team that actually won a game and it was a major upset. Major Upset.  If my memory serves me right, I have only seen Boyle give up more than 3 touchdowns 4 times in 5 years. They have lost 4 games being LCA, Lexington Catholic, Frederick Douglass, Covington Catholic and each of those teams had 3 different defensive coordinators because Hester I think was over the defense when LCA beat Boyle at Boyle, could be wrong though, and Burns the next two Lexington Catholic and Frederick Douglass and then this last game. So when Boyle gives up more than 28 points they are vulnerable to get upset and especially in a elimination game. I think in a sorta weird way, Boyle was just flat and still almost won this game and may have won if not for the play called a fumble. Also in the Lexington Catholic game Boyle lost, Haddix came with a play that went for a game winning touchdown but was called back because of a penalty.  If there is another loss, I can't remember it right off without looking. But I have to argue that this was just a odd night and kinda went along with the season that is unfolding, Pikeville, Central, Boyle, DuPont Manual, ST X, Male has went down in what could arguably be called the year of the upset. And I feel like we have only begun, because 2A and 5A is next. 

Also I'll add that Boyle give up 4 tds to Corbin in the finals and possibly a few more teams maybe Franklin County in the fist title game. I do remember those too. I forgot about them.
