Late in the 4th quarter when Cincinnati was going for the second field goal try,  I said maybe they should punt and play for OT. 

A kicker has to make those kicks,  at least one of the two,  that's what they're paid for.  College kickers all across the country could make those kicks. Somewhere throughout the country in high school football,  there's kickers who makes those kicks.  I understand we all make mistakes but if somethings your job,  speciality,  your expected to perform. 

Another thing I gotta point out.  When Cincinnati was driving,  before the first field goal attempt,  one more first down,  they could've run the clock out.  They throw the ball for three downs,  all incomplete passes.  They end up not burning much time at all off the clock. 

Even if Cincinnati does pick up another first down and burns most of the clock,  still a chance the kicker misses.  Then there's likely not much time for the Chargers to do much,  leading to OT. 

I understand the Bengals HC wanting to kick and take the point's,  and forcing the Chargers to have to drive the length of the field on the kickoff.  I understand him trying to put point's on the board,  while having the chance.  The guy's gotta make those kicks. 

Think I seen where Cincinnati has like a ten percent or less chance of making the playoffs after last night.  Definitely be tough to win out the rest of the way.

Maybe it was after the first field goal attempt Cincinnati could've run most of the clock out with another first down.  I might have gotten that wrong on my original post.  I do remember Chris Collinsworth saying that at one point lol
