Pikeville vs Owensboro Catholic 8th grade Div 3 Championship

I’m looking to see/know if Hazard was the toughest opponent.

Owensboro got into Pikeville's redzone twice.  Once on a long drive and the other on a fumble by Pikeville after a punt. But Owensboro couldn't punch it in and had some penalties I think that backed them up.  It was 0-0 at halftime and then Pikeville just started pounding the rock to 32, 22, and 5 a couple times off the edge to get the offense going and then that opened up some nice passes and Pikeville settled in.  Owensboro has some really nice looking kids, the QB #10 and then the TE/FB #44 are real players.  But Pikeville's ability to to control the LOS on both sides and then the physicality in which they play with on both sides was the difference.

This 8th grade is group and have all the pieces from the big guys on both sides to every skill position you could want.  Very rarely do you see a team so complete with QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRS, 5 Lineman, and all the defensive positions besides one that is a Corner who a 7th grader starts there for them.

Very impressive and they have a real shot to be special for the HS if they all continue to play their HS careers.
