The defense is 30 times better than last year with now 9 starters with 2 years experience. Mobile Qbs give bell issues, but drop back passers have typically not been destructive. I think the only place Lex Cath should have the advantage is the speed on the outside, but bell has been outmatched in speed multiple times this year and still come out on top.

Lex Cath will not stop Bell on offense period, but scheme from the Lex cath offense against that Bell Defense is the matchup to watch. I said this 3 weeks ago you have to score 42 to beat bell, and the only teams that can logically do that on this defense are Lex Cath if they are hot, Cal, and Central. I’m interested to see if the staff at Lex Cath can draw up some stuff to get in the endzone. Should be one of the best games this friday night across the state!!

I was thinking Bell County is probably the fifth of sixth best team Catholic will have played this season but after reading this, I would have to put Bell slightly below the 1985 Bears.
I would still say 4th or 5th, but all the reasons I listed is why they lost those games. Unmatched up front on both sides, couldn’t stop the other team from moving the ball, and still had success on offense for the most part minus the boyle game. Just cause they outmatch them at a lot of the positions doesn’t mean they still can’t win. Speed kills that’s a fact. Lex Cath is plenty capable of lighting it up, but from what I’ve seen in the few games on youtube they aren’t even the best defensive team Bell has faced this year.

And i forgot to mention that Lex Cath has a 7 point advantage already just in the special teams game. Which can always prove to be a huge thing especially in november.
