Lynn Camp vs. Middlesboro - Aug 25.
#12
I've seen the jackets and the strength of their team lies not in the offensive line.
I've seen dave mitchell's wildcats play a few games and they rely heavily on beating the unholy sin out of thier opponents.
Middelsboro is not the intimadating smash mouth team it once was. They were intimadated by josh reynolds last year in this game.
That being said, the cats lack the brainsmashers they have had in the previous few years, and middelsboro is strong in their skill positions. Look for Jumpin' Dave to nuetralize their speed disadavantage.
Someone asked bear bryant how you deal with speed. He replied, "You run right at it."
They will rely heavily on the largest running back they have, scalf, to carry the brunt of the weight friday. if he has a strong game, cats will win in a close one.
The jackets will attempt the spread out LC and make their slower line backers shut them down, and try to make the sophmore DBs make tackles in space. If Middlesboro turns it into a fast paced game and keeps the wildcat d on the field too long, the cats are in for a long night.
In summary, both teams basically need to play their style of football. Both representing a different style of play. Whichever team has to change their game plan will end up with an L. still a close one, neither is a lay down squad.
