I think he has an uphill battle in New York.  And nothing about it is political or logical.  It boils down to  personal vendettas and there appears to be a lot of those going around.

He has screwed over so many New Yorkers over the years with his scamming and not paying his bills. That's why they can't stand him. Running scams like Trump University and not paying people who did work for him has not endeared him to a lot of New Yorkers.

You are so out of touch with current events and political news, it is scary.

What I predicted would happen in New York City is already taking shape and Trump is still more than two months away from assuming office. Mayor Adams refused to criticize Trump during a press conference yesterday. As he explained, he is the mayor of all New Yorkers and many of them agree with and voted for Trump. He is sending hints that he is ready to cooperate with Trump's agenda of deporting illegals and tackling the homelessness issue.

Trump and Adams are like birds of a feather...

Adams is a liberal politician. If he can help Trump cleanup NYC, then he will secure his legacy and maybe stay out of jail. It is a potential win-win for him. At least he was decent enough to defend Trump against Kamala's desperate, nasty comparisons to Hitler and the fascist allegation before the election. It seems as if he was smart enough to see that a Trump victory was coming, when others were predicting that Kamala was going to win 300+ electoral votes.
