Where is your outage at all of the looters and those who attacked federal buildings in protests supported and actively encouraged by Kamala Harris? I don't recall your demands for justice on behalf of the victims of those riots.

The people who peacefully just walked in should not be in jail.  What pct. does this include?  Looters and anyone assaulting someone should have been jailed.  I know that extreme right wing talking heads claim no one was ever charged in these crimes, but it that really the truth?
Federal law enforcement and prosecutors are masters at coercing guilty pleas. The choice between going bankrupt because of legal fees and pleading guilty to a bogus charge is not as simple as liberals want everybody to believe. It doesn't take long to go broke paying $500/hour or more for a good lawyer.

I learned a long time ago not to assume that the media tells the truth or that people making plea bargains with the federal government are guilty of anything. Sometimes they are but often they are not.

I saw a lot of people walk through the open doors of the Capitol building and then just mill around inside. No matter what those people may have pled guilty to, they were trespassers at worst. I doubt that many protesters could afford to defend themselves at a trial, so I assume that they took whatever plea deal they were offered.

The federal government is the wrong place to expect justice, unless you are in a protected class when a Democrat occupies the Whitehouse. Whenever possible, crimes should be matters for state and local government because the federal government can and does abuse its power on a routine basis.

I have no problem keeping anybody in jail who assaulted a police officer or destroyed property, along with the clown who took Pelosi's laptop, but the punishment needs to fit the crime and the crime was not waging an insurrection against the federal government.
