The Cardinals of GRC (5-6) will travel down I-64 about 20 miles and take the Broncos of Frederick Douglass (7-4) in the 2nd round of the Class 6A 2024 UK HealthCare Sports Medicine State Football Finals. This is the 2nd time these two teams have played in the last 3 weeks. The last meeting GRC saw the Douglass Broncos win a running clock 35-0 win. 

The Cardinals advanced with a hard fought 14-6 win over Lafayette while the Broncos had a running clock 42-0 win over Dunbar. This will make the 3rd meeting all-time between the two with the Broncos winning the first two contest by scores of 50-6 in 2023 and the above mentioned 35-0 this season. I look for another easy victory for the Broncos to advance to the state quarterfinals. The game is scheduled for 7:00pm on Friday Nov. 15th at "The Farm". The game can be seen on NFHS Network as of this post I am not sure if it will be on any other streaming services.
