This is one of those games where there is little benefit to the winner, but the loser has a lot of explaining to do.

Game is important for Mercer to try to get their offense back on track and get momentum going into playoffs.  Problem for Mercer in playoffs is they usually play the state champs in the 2nd round.

That's true. I usually write off Mercer because of that, but maybe I shouldn't.
