Blackcats have a opportunity to finish the regular season undefeated for the first time since 2009 and a win over Breathitt would secure a home field playoff advantage through the state quarterfinals. With that said, winning in Jackson on the riverbank is never easy. Interestingly, the series between these two programs is tied at 12 and this rivalry dates back to 1974. The last time Prestonsburg beat Breathitt Co was in 2016 in Jackson.

2009 was a special year. I’d love to see these boys make a similar run to that team. A win Friday goes a long way.

We actually last beat Breathitt in 2017 at home but 2016 was the last win on the riverbank.

I love the confidence we are currently playing with and that gives us a chance in this one. Teams under the previous regime would’ve came out flat for thus one, but I feel like Wes will have them all gassed up for Breathitt and a shot at 10-0!
