He requested a job and said that he is running against a candidate who falsely claims to have worked at McDonalds. What he did was take a poke at Kamala's honesty in a humorous way. It was quite a contrast to Kamala's appearance yesterday with celebrities and her increasingly angry screaming at campaign events.

I also watched the reaction of local Steelworkers to his promise to use import tariffs to protect their jobs. I am personally opposed to imposing tariffs to protect jobs, but I do support imposing them in response to government subsidies or to retaliate against tariffs imposed by other countries. I prefer lowering corporate taxes and lightening regulatory burdens to make American companies more competitive with global competitors, but I support the use of tariffs when countries like China unfairly subsidize industries to drive American companies out of the market. We cannot afford, as a country, to be completely dependent on imports in key industries that impact national security.

I believe that Trump's promises of tariffs to protect union steelworker jobs in Pennsylvania will be very effective.

Surely you do not believe that lowering Corporate taxes again would be a good thing.  The 2017 Corporate tax decrease will add approximately 1.3 trillion dollars to the deficit over a 10 year period.  I'm sure it sounds good to some, especially if your income is in the top 1%, but how about the Politicians thinking long term and not just about the next election.
I am opposed to any corporate taxes, but lowering rates to improve the competitiveness of American companies producing strategic materials and products would be a good start. Corporate shareholders and employees already pay income taxes. In reality, corporations do not pay taxes they pass the costs of production to consumers, including corporate income taxes.

How concerned were you when the federal spending exploded under the Biden-Harris administration, which caused the inflation rate to soar? How much has their spending contribute to the national debt? Where is your outrage over their irresponsible spending? Inflation is a hidden tax that impacts every segment of our society. Why do liberals love tax hikes so much?
Democrats love to spend, absolutely no denying it, although I can only put partial blame on the current administration for the inflation numbers.  Inflation had to happen due to all of the money that both the Trump and Biden Administrations threw into the economy to help businesses and individuals impacted by the Pandemic.  Now did the Dems overdo it a little, I'm sure they did, but both Trump and Biden did what needed to be done and the inflation was the direct result of it.

What most people do not realize or maybe don't want to admit is that every Country in the World was affected by inflation and the US has rebounded better than any other Country, so on the flip side Biden should get credit for this as well as being blamed for the inflation.

Also Corporate profits drove over 50% of inflation during 2023, so there is a link between Corporate price gouging and inflation.  "The last quarter in 2023 was one of the best ever for Corporate America after tax income.  It doesn't appear that too much was trickling down, as I once believed.  So I don't really trust Corporate America to share the wealth of another tax break with the lower and middles classes that keep getting squeezed.
