People seem to forget pburg just had 17 yards last season I and a running clock put on them by the cards and they was 2-4 going into that game. They are 4-2 this year going into this game and have played a harder schedule than pburg has. I know it's different this year but I don't think it's that big of a difference. But that's why they play the games on Friday night
That game last season has absolutely nothing to do with this season.

Martin County graduated like 7 offensive starters off that team and Prestonsburg season ended last season when after the first loss to Betsy Layne. They laid down and quit after one drive vs Martin County and the entire team basically imploded from that point on.

Also, if you want to use this logic, then how in the world did Martin County go from beating the exact same Hazard team 20-7 last season to getting boat raced this season? Hazard and Prestonsburg are two very similar stories. Both teams had down seasons last year, it wasn't because of a lack of talent. Had a lot to do with confidence, inexperience, and lack of leadership. Both programs have new staffs and both are off to very hot starts and Hager and Chandler are getting the most out of their teams.

Martin County is very different too. Still a very tough defense, but their not great up front on either side of the ball. They're too reliant on Maynard, that's why any good team is going to take him away or limit him and force the Cardinals to find other ways to win. That's why Magoffin nearly come to Inez and won. Prestonsburg could very well lose tomorrow night. It wouldn't shock me in the least, but I like this matchup for Prestonsburg. They just have to play smart football and stick to their game plan the coaches have come up with. If they do that, I feel confident that the Blackcats will come out victorious.

Best of luck to both teams... Go Blackcats!!!
