After watching this game in person and on replay, Pikeville has some serious issues

1) special teams were bad.  I’d hate to be the coach in charge of that
2) offensive play calling wasn’t good with loads of time wasted at the end of the game.  Almost like they quit. 
3) penalties.  Too many men on the field multiple times
4) qb struggles with anything down field.  Our db was burnt multiple times and he couldn’t connect
5). Pass selection.  Seems like an is locked on one receiver coming out of huddle.  Threw into four or five man coverage. 

Great win by our pirates but not too happy about some of the antics we displayed.  Coach Haywood may be losing it.  Teams of the past acted like we were supposed to win.  I saw multiple occasions of our boys acting up at the end of the game.  I know Pikeville wasn’t innocent but this game went to far.  We should act like a winning program and when we beat little brother like we did act like we have some class.  Yea I know I’ll catch some heat from the Pirate faithful but it is what it is. 

And the coach who flipped the bird to the player shouldn’t have reacted to a kid.  The refs let this one get out of control.  Glad we came away injury free

Just noticed Anthony not credited with a single tackle (since he wasn't out there) on D after being credited with 18 the week before at Raceland. Just as big or bigger than being limited to 4 carries on offense. Clean up the sloppiness and get everybody healthy and Pikeville will look like Pikeville again (4-peat).

Anthony being out did hurt but that’s an excuse like us complaining the Isaac Dixon didn’t play years ago.   Both teams should just move on.   Tired of the antics from the fans.  Social media has made a joke of this rivalry

What was an excuse? I like both teams and have watched both all year. If you read other posts, I said I think Belfry is the better team this year and picked them to win. But, the game played out how I wrote. That isn’t excuses. That’s what happened. Look at the stats.  Stats don’t win ballgames but they do tell a story. Injuries and special teams are part of the game. Pikeville had 4 defensive starters on the sideline with injuries or cramping on a series. Belfry was right to take advantage of that. Belfry won. No excuses. Just how the game played out. If you watched the game and thought Belfry dominated, you watched something different than reality.

Belichick, you're right. If you just look at the rushing and passing stats posted on here, you would think Pikeville won. But, that punt return by "little" No. 7 was fun to watch. "It" (the punt return) was "put on" Pikeville. Those stats have to be taken into account also. Pikeville's skilled players looked big on TV. Belfry's skilled players looked small. Size won the battle, but bad snaps and punts (by Pikeville) and good punt and kick returns (by Belfry's little guys) helped Belfry win the war. Pikeville will win another state championship in 1A. It will be hard for Belfry to win another championship in 3A, but not impossible. Both teams need to improve.

Clyde????. No. 2, No. 7, No. 10, and No. 11 are all smaller than any of Pikeville's skilled players. The Caudill kid (No. 14) from Pikeville is tough, but he looks like one of the big ones. What's he got to do with my comment.

Lol.  Was talking about both caudills for belfry, ace and Eli.   Wasn’t talking about 14 for Pikeville.
