Wow! This is great! Didn’t know or pay attention that these discussions existed! But……why don’t we focus on stuff that we know didn’t happen. Like landing on the moon.

That's a good point there about the cover up. 
I watched a documentary the other night about Michael Collins,  known as the forgotten astronaut.  He never stepped on the moon but he was there on the mission. He operated the space craft or something.  Anyway, in that documentary they were talking about all the trouble it would take to stage the moon landing. 
The only thing I can think of is to beat Russia to it.  Which I guess that means Russia would've been faking trying to get to the moon to.  Russia was beating us in the space race.  If I'm not mistaken they had craft around moon first.
