You had schools from that alignment stay in 1A and the very next year, some teams they saw in the playoffs jumped to 3 and 4A. Sure 4A teams saw the same thing with teams jumping to 6A. But there’s a big difference in 1A vs 4A and 4A vs 6A. Raceland has always been competing with, and or beaten, the teams in the county and surrounding counties. We are the smallest school excluding Fairview. But always produce similar roster numbers as well. I went there and my kids go there. I was happy, they are happy. Both my boys play football, by their own choosing, one of which didn’t play until his 8th grade year, and he is happier than he has ever been. His entire life changed when he made that decision. So before you go running us through the mud about titles, understand that it is much, MUCH bigger than that.

And I’d rather make it to the dance and get dog walked than start playing basketball the second week of November.

Oh I know it's much bigger than that, that's why it's hard for me to understand why your fans get on here and dawg other programs. The cherry on top is that you don't have a successful program in terms of winning compared to the top programs in the state and regardless of what you want to believe, there's a reason why the same 4-5 teams have won the last umpteen 1a state championships, and that's because as a whole its not very competitive. So, if one of those 4-5 teams' fans want to get on here and tell others how mediocre their teams are, then kudos to them, but when Raceland fans do it, it feels like a cry to try and fit in a group you don't belong in.
This is an uncomfortable truth for our fan base but if KY had stayed in the 4 class system Raceland would still be getting knocked out of the playoffs in the 1st and 2nd round every year.  In that system Raceland was in a district with LCA and a region with Beechwood and the good NCC teams.

These deep post season runs are a result of the state creating a system that allowed previously mediocre programs like Raceland to make it further in the playoffs.  It’s nice to make it deep in the playoffs now but I think a lot of people forget that prior to the class change Raceland was a middle level program and had no post season success at all.
