It was a complete slop fest from both teams—felt like watching a traveling circus. Penalty after penalty for nonsense, and the kids were clearly out of shape and undisciplined for the orange and blue.  Pike Central couldn’t tackle, and it's obvious that nothing’s improved under the new coach, different face same results. It looked like the same old team with the same assistant coaches, and they desperately need to work on the fundamentals, especially pursuit and tackling. Martin County had better athletes and will only continue to improve. If they meet again, the score will be even more lopsided. I’d bet Pike Central couldn’t even beat Pikeville’s middle school team, let alone their JV squad. Like I said, Martin will definitely get better, and Pike Central might be lucky to win four games this season."

That has to be the worst excuse I’ve ever heard. Whether it’s your first year or tenth, there’s no excuse for horrible conditioning, poor fundamentals in tackling, and repeated, sloppy penalties. These all point to a severe lack of discipline. I get that certain aspects might not be polished right away, but these are basic football principles that should be in place. They’re lucky Martin County didn’t put up 3-4 more scores on them. Keep making excuses, and you’ll keep getting the same results!

Yea apparently they don’t know about building a program.rome wasn’t built over night.i mean heck if it was me I’d rather build from ground up see how it goes
