Several and then another combo of brothers and several other kids as well. At one point last year there were 8-9 and several started. Would’ve loved to have seen them play for the Tigers after middle school or longer. Clay would’ve been right on Bell’s heals.

Bell county was substituting freshman in halfway through the third quarter last year in a rain game. I don’t think it was going to matter. Gotta worry about getting over the hump with knox and rock first so the first round playoff game isn’t in pond creek.

Doesn’t Bell’s heals insinuate that they would still be better? But there will be 3-4 kids start for NL that I would bet would make Clay better than Knox and Rock over night. Which was my original point. You factor in 5A vs. 3A and last year there were 6 kids on North’s roster that would’ve started for Clay (about 8-9 overall). The school they were at 1 year earlier.

Bell will always be tuff as long as Dudley is coaching. From what I am hearing, Clay is working on a very good QB in the making. I watched some North games last year. No doubt, lots of talent that I had no ideal was on the team from Clay. Very good athletes. Would make any team better.

Everything I said was true. Part of mass exodus (for various reasons) during and after Covid that is rarely referenced. It is what it is but it’s also true. There are a lot of kids on NL that played for Clay through middle and even early high school that would have changed CC overnight. Meaningless now but still a point to make.
