[Old School Hound]

5 9  days  until my Hounds open up a can of whip ass on the Pikeville Panthers.


It was 1982,  the Dazz Band released their Grammy-winning hit song, "Let it Whip." As a young college student at EKU, it was one of my favorite songs to dance to.  I never missed American Bandstand and Soul Train on Saturday afternoons. GOOD TIMES!!!

 1982 was a great year. The Hounds won the AA state title and the EKU Colonels won the 1-AA National Championship over Delaware  , led by Corbin natives, Steve Bird and Roy Kidd. It was a great time to be in Richmond. Bull got out was a toddler making poo and eating crayons in '82.  Justin Haddix was not yet a gleam in his mother's eye. He had yet to be born in '82. 


Let it Whip, Coach Salmons. Let's go 10-0 and whip those Rebels in Round three at Campbell Field. It can happen !!!!
