Close game in the beginning as both teams we locked at 2. Powell then gained the lead and estill tied it at 3. In the 6th powell scored 3 runs including a squeeze play to tack on another run to get more separation from estill. Estill threatened in the bottom with one out. Dickens came in and finished the game off with 2 strikeouts. Hix kept powell off balance but powell still recorded 9 hits on the day. Begley gets the win striking out 7 Dicken’s gets the save striking out both batters he faced. With both teams playing in the state 2a sectional this most likely insures powell will play estill at least 4 times this year. 

Powell punched their ticket to travel to Owensboro on the 20th to take on Desales.
