Harlan County vs. Lyons County (Sweet 16 State Champioshnip)
#13
If they want to win it all, Harlan County can't be happy just to be there tonight. They need to come in with a mentality that there's unfinished business and that they expect to win, because I would have to think that Lyon County came in with a goal of State Championship or bust. Not saying that Harlan County didn't have that mentality as well, just that I could see how they might look back later and realize what a special run it was just to get to the championship game.

The teams actually match-up against one another fairly well, but I don't know that Harlan County's defense has been tested in the way that it's going to be tested later tonight yet in this tournament. Lyon's ability to penetrate and kick and stretch you horizontally unless you want to give up uncontested threes is going to be much different that Warren Central, Campbell County, or Evangel Christian.

If Harlan County is going to have a chance, they're going to have to really be able to weather one or two of those big Lyon County runs where they hit you with a 10-12 point flurry in a minute and a half or two minute period. Shoulders will need to stay out of foul trouble.

Lyon County will have some extra rest. They played the early game Wednesday and got an extra day in there and then they played the earlier game again today. They've also been there so many times that the whole process isn't going to be new to them, even if the prep for the Saturday final is going to be very new to both teams.

As always, Harlan County is going to have to ride Noah, hope that Huff can give him plenty of support and show good shot selection, they get contributions from their supporting cast, and can limit turnovers & keep foul trouble from making them go to their short bench.
