Not really.  The 13th is loaded with mediocrity, or worse.
What do you attribute all this mediocrity too?

Now that's a damn good question. I'll get back to you.  My first inclination is that some of the reasons for the college basketball product being watered down is trickling down to high school, as well.  There are are a plethora of reasons, I'm sure.

My very humble opinion why? It's lots of reasons.  Coaches don't have the guts to play who they should, they can't say anything without hurting little Johnny's feelings the parents are down their throat's.  We live in a society that thinks and we are taught we should all be equal and we are not.  Over time from the cradle we have been taught that I am first and can't handle a supporting role.  On the other side the kid that should play gets discouraged says screw it why beat my brains in day in day out go through all of the conditioning when I can go home at 3pm and play on the computer not to mentioned there are fishing, archery lot of other sports that wasn't around back in the day.  All that said this generation is soft and it's getting softer no pride no grit.  Just grab a phone and start scrolling or go make a TikTok.

It's hard to argue the points you make. Lot of truth there. Little Johnny sucks and it's damn time we told him and his parents so.
