The Hounds (12-5) travel to Manchester to take on the 11-8 Tigers. Corbin had their six game winning streak snapped at home on Friday with a dreadful performance against Whitley County. Clay County seems to be righting the ship just a bit with recent wins over North Laurel and Tates Creek. Who wins this matchup between the two schools who have combined for 47.8% ( 44 of the 92 ) of all 13th regional titles in history? In fact, at least one of these two schools have appeared in the 13th Region title game in 69 of the 92 championship games.
I think Pietrowski's team will come out ready to prove that Friday's debacle was not indicative of the team they are. Corbin has been notoriously slow starters in games this season. They have had a propensity to get behind and then come roaring back. Corbin is still without Carter Stewart(hamstring) and a couple of role players. I look for a tough, physical game but I give the edge to the home team by 7.
