Is LC running shotgun now or still under center

I caught some on NFHS.  I don’t think they even practice under center.  They had 4th and 2-3 inches at one point and still ran shotgun.  The play resulted in a 2 yard loss and turnover.  They’re not bad, but made some very questionable decisions.  Boyd got their safety on a play that LC decided to run an option on what looked like their own 2-3 yard line.  Then, later in the game, when LC took the lead, they scored a TD to make the score 13-9 pending PAT.  For some unknown reason, they kicked the PAT rather than go for 2.  I understand not chasing points early in the game, but this was a low scoring game in its 4th quarter.  You’ve got to know to go for 2 in that situation.  One last thing about LC, it doesn’t look like they practice 2 minute drill at all.  They seemed to be just throwing up prayers while they still had time to make a quick drive to the end-zone.  They only had like 40 yards to go with momentum and threw the pick 6 after a couple of tries pushing the ball down the field.  It just seemed like they were guessing rather than having an actual plan. 

As for Boyd, I felt they coached too conservative.  LC did a decent job of containing the QB at times, so give them some credit.  However, when the score was 9-7 for a while, it didn’t seem like there was any type of urgency to put another score on the board.  I would have liked to see them be more aggressive.  It worked out for them, but if the Lawrence QB gets in the end-zone on the long run where he came up about 6 inches short, it might have been different.  A few plays later LC fumbled (Another opportunity to try to go under center, but they didn’t).  They didn’t fumble the snap from what I could tell, but there are a lot less that can go wrong if you learn to QB sneak.

One last thing, what is with the Lawrence NFHS feed?  The scoreboard didn’t work at all.  There was no need to even have the graphic on there.  Also, It would be much better if they had someone manning a camera rather than the automatic one they were using.  Also, that field looks awesome!
